Josephson is the first person to address the campus community as part of the Distinguished Speaker Series. He is the founder and president of the Joseph and Edna Josephson Institute of Ethics. Josephson has led more than 1,000 programs on ethics for different groups in education, government officials and the media.
Through the institute Josephson started two youth programs, Character Counts! and Pursuing Victory with Honor. Character Counts! is a character education program, and PVWH addresses issues with sportsmanship.
